Important notes regarding the request of seeds

We will normally only consider requests for up to 25 accessions. If you require more than this, you should submit a written explanation and use a separate Material Supply Agreement (MSA) for each set of 25 accessions. To see a copy of the MSA, click here. Normally, sufficient seed will be supplied to raise a nucleus stock only; further propagation will be necessary if large numbers of plants are desired. We usually send out 60 seeds or less per accession. Repeated requests for the same accession will not be entertained within a 5 year period unless the request is accompanied by an explanatory letter.

Because the list is updated quarterly (it is not live), it is possible that some accessions may be in the list but unavailable because further supply would put the quantity below the level necessary for conservation purposes.

Please note that the MSA is a legally-binding document and should be read and completed carefully, then signed on behalf of your organisation. Please post the form (do not attempt to email or fax the form as we must receive the original signed document). Requests for seeds on incomplete or unsigned MSAs will not be fulfilled. Normally, your order will be despatched within 40 working days of the receipt of an acceptably-completed MSA.

It is essential that users follow the guidance given in the section 'Prevention of the spread of invasive plants and plant pests / pathogens' in the introduction to this seed list. Overseas correspondents must check with their own national authorities concerning import regulations and must send any necessary permits with their request. It should be noted that it will not normally be possible to provide phytosanitary certificates for the seed lots despatched.
